Green Procurement:
Current trends tell us that it is becoming more important for business to play a key role in protecting the global environment. In recent years, we have received more inquiries about global environmental conservation issues from our customers. In response to customer requests on the investigation for Green Procurement, Renesas has reviewed environmental load substances possibly contained in raw materials and parts used for our products and other items. In addition, we have classified these environmental load substances into four categories (Banned, Reduced, Controlled, and Composed) based on national and international trends in the regulatory control of environmental load substances.
At present, we plan to reinvestigate purchased items from our suppliers to obtain data and information on the newly classified environmental load substances (as our "Green Procurement Investigation" to our suppliers). Your understanding and cooperation would be much appreciated. |
Requesting the Investigation of Chemical Substances:
Renesas specifies chemical substances to be voluntarily managed and the investigation method.
In some cases where any of suppliers is in need of this investigation, our Operating Division will respond individually to suppliers.
