Programming Methods
There are two methods to program your device.
- On-board programming
- Off-board programming
On-board programming
MCU devices can be programmed while mounted on the target board. This gives the advantage of being able to debug the code at different stages of development and production, and also, to carry out field upgrades.
Off-board programming
Devices are programmed using programmers fitted with an appropriate adapter socket. This method is usually used in production environments.
