The large trace function and Real-time RAM monitor, specific functions of E20, are not available with some MCUs.
E20 currently supports them only when using with RX600 Series. (As of June 2011)
As for the other MCUs, the supported function corresponds to that of E1 Emulator.

Note :
1. The available debugging function corresponds to that of E1 Emulator. Even when using with E20, the large trace function and Real-time RAM monitor, specific functions of E20, are not supported.
2. V850E2/ME3 is not suppoted by E1 and E20 emulators. Use MINICUBE as the applicable software.

Overview

As a sophisticated on-chip debugging emulator, E20 provides enhanced trace functions, RAM monitor functions and others besides all the basic debugging functions as well as E1 while serving as a flash programmer at the same time¹.

Either serial or JTAG connection can be selected depending on the MCU type.

In addition to the aforesaid functions, it incorporates the large trace function for more enhanced debugging by combination of E20 and an MCU with the trace output function. Hence, it allows easy analysis of debugging problems and performance evaluation, which achieves shortening of the debugging period.
