Development Tools

To help engineers and architects build effective security solutions for their products, Renesas provides a complete set of hardware and software support tools, including middleware products.

The Board ID Demonstration Kit demonstrates many of the Board ID features and functions to allow designers to begin developing easily a Security application. It includes a reference design software (BSS: Board ID Security Stack) on the main MCU presenting easy to use API for the main application, thus simplifying the design and integration of the security services. The kit also includes a 'BSS manager' to help designers understand well the use cases offered by the product and architect and customize easily their own security application.

The Board ID Demonstration Kit

The Board ID Demonstration Kit enables you to evaluate the state-of-the-art Machine-to-Machine authentication capability of the Board ID device. The pre-loaded Authentication Applet on the Board ID device handles all the complicated authentication steps so that there is no need to develop software for the Board ID device. The demonstration kit takes advantage of the applet and provides simple, yet powerful, authentication capabilities. PC utility software included in the package provides guidance in setting up the authentication condition and launching actual authentication.
