SH-Mobile
Renesas has introduced the SH-Mobile (SuperH Mobile Application Processor); designed to ease system development and realise significant performance improvement. Using the DSP instructions of the SH3-DSP, an average performance increase of 200% can be achieved for most middleware. This reduces CPU speed requirements and in turn power consumption.

RL78 Family
RL78 is Renesas Electronics' next-generation microcontroller family combining advanced features from both the 78K and R8C families to deliver low power consumption and high performance.
RL78 is based on a 16-bit CISC architecture with rich analog functionality. The platform lineup will include General Purpose, LCDs and ASSPs including lighting, and Automotive microcontrollers.
RL78 is designed specifically for ultra-low power applications allowing you to build compact and energy-efficient systems at lower cost.

M32R Family
The M32R family 32-bit RISC microcomputers were developed by Renesas specifically to enable users to incorporate high-level functions into their systems. They incorporate the M32R CPU, a compact CPU core that delivers excellent performance. The M32R family is an ideal system solution for applications including general industrial and car-mounted systems, digital AV equipment, digital imaging equipment, and portable consumer products.

R8C Family
The 16-bit CISC MCUs of the R8C Family feature high ROM code efficiency, superb noise performance, low power consumption, high processing performance for real applications, and so on. With the advantage of abundant on-chip peripherals such as comprehensive timer functions and various serial communication functions, the R8C Family supports a wide range of application fields. The R8C Family also retains compatibility with the M16C Family, so software resources and development tools can be shared.
H8SX Family
H8SX family offers a 32bit CISC microcomputer with improved performance and an internal Multiplier/Divider with a maximum operating frequency of 50 MHz.
