Features of QzROM

1. Newly developed programmable memory

With our newly developed process, the QzROM brings not only high-end value-added functions, but maintains the same low-cost benefits of mask ROM versions.

2. Short TAT, Quick Delivery

With the QzROM production process, products can be shipped as quickly as 2 weeks from receipt of ROM, greatly reducing the customer's development period.

 

3. Same product for Development & Production

Because the development version (blank product) and mass production version (programmed product) of QzROM products are one and the same, the sample evaluation which needs to Mask ROM version can be eliminated.

4. On-board Programming

QzROM is perfect for software development projects on extremely tight schedules as it allows programming even after mounting.

5. Protect Function

QzROM has also highly tamper-resistance*. The protect function prevents unapproved access of both the customer program and the program input prior to Renesas shipment.

*Tamper-resistance: ability to prevent illegal or unapproved data access, usage, or tampering, as well as incorrect usage that may lead to product failure.

QzROM is implemented in 4 and 8 bit MCUs.
