| A family of RISC CPU cores designed for multimedia System-on Chip (SoC) devices. The 32-bit SH-4 family and 64-bit SH-5 families are available today. The SH-4 CPU cores integrate a vector floating point unit enabling audio, speech and graphics applications to be ported. The SH-5 family uses its 64-bit datapaths to deliver multimedia processing capability via its SIMD (single instruction, multiple data) instructions.
