    • 16 total mailboxes – 15 can be transmit or receive, 1 dedicated receive-only
    • 16 hardware acceptance filters – one for each mailbox
    • Automatic Remote Frame response
    • Single-shot transmission and transmission abort function
    • Forced Bus-Off Restore function: Function that allows quick recovery from Bus-off state to Error Active state without going through regular process.
    • Listen-only mode: Capability to keep node from transmitting ACK or error frame.
    • Support for automatic DMA & DTC (Data Transfer Controller) transfers upon reception of a message
